Week 2 :

I discovered more about theme Journey and I think I should change my mindmap a little bit.

I think I’ll focus mainly on traumatic, recovering and landscape.

My museum:

  1. Keychain

I chose my keychains because this one was a gift from a friend for my high school graduation, with the words “I love you so much” on it. My friend and I used to hate each other a lot, but after some time getting to know each other and resolving our conflicts, we gradually became closer. She’s one of the few friends I still text regularly after graduation from high school.

2. photos taken at a photobooth

Around 2025, the photobooth trend emerged in Vietnam, and like other young people, I also followed the trend and went to take photos in photobooths. These photos mean something to me simply like I spent time with my close friends, and I had healing and fun moments.

3. Books & Manga

I’ve had a hobby of collecting manga since middle school, because I love those anime series and I have a habit of collecting things I really like, like stationery.

In addition, these are some of the books that are quite meaningful to me. I bought two books on pencil and color drawing when I took a three-month drawing class around the time I was in 11th grade. I still keep them to this day because I think books are tools that helped me build a good foundation in drawing. The other two books were gifts from my older brother when I was 14, back when I wasn’t very good at English and thought I would study graphic design instead of landscape architecture like I do now. I haven’t finished reading them yet, but I will in the near future, as they also help build a good foundation in drawing.

4. Rosé ( Blackpink’s member )

Rose is my bias in BLACKPINK. She doesn’t use high-pitched vocal techniques, but her voice is very expressive. Among her solo songs, my favorite is “Toxic till the end” (the song’s theme is being aware of emotional hurt but unable to escape it, which resonates with me), because I really like ballads and pop songs; those genres bring me a good mood. Listening to Rose’s music while studying is always a habit of mine. I even reached the top 0.01% of people listening to Rose’s music last October.

5. Doll

My collection of stuffed ducks, I bought them in high school. I have about 4-5 of them, but I only managed to take 2 with me when I went abroad to study. They’re pretty much like my travel companions, and I often cuddle with them while watching movies or sleeping.

6. Headphone

I chose my headphones because I always carry them with me; if you ever see me out alone, you’ll always see me wearing them and listening to music. I feel like they’re my shield, protecting me as an introvert from socializing with strangers.

7. Necklace

My necklace was a gift from my mother before I went to study abroad. Since it was my first time living away from home, she gave it to me as a good luck charm. It’s a Christian necklace because my family is Christian. My mother owned it for a long time and passed it down to me.

8. Mango

I really like mangoes, especially Vietnamese mangoes. I like both green and ripe mangoes. It’s been my favorite food since I was a child. I often eat mangoes when I have a lot of homework and am stressed, simply to relieve stress and make me feel more relaxed so I can do more things.

9. App Locket

Locket started gaining popularity in Vietnam around 2022, allowing me to share everyday moments. I started taking Locket back in 10th grade, capturing many everyday moments, captions complaining about homework, the weather, or relationships. This partly relieves stress and allows me to share the most ordinary things with my friends. Locket is not like Instagram or Facebook; if someone wants your locket, they need your phone number or you send them your account link. they can’t just find you randomly.

10. Soy milk/ soy drink

I really like soy milk, as well as mango; it’s been my favorite drink since I was a child. Back then, my dad used to buy me soy milk every week, and even though he’s no longer with me, it brings back so many childhood memories. After going to school and living in the UK, I haven’t found soy milk that tastes close to the soy milk in Vietnam, but I still keep the habit of drinking it.
